The optional replacement of the winery’s concrete tanks with three 22,000-gallons/ 83,000-liter fiberglass water tanks were also part of the project, which had BioBarrier HSMBR treatment systems preinstalled. In the first year of this system’s operation, more than 1.35 million gallons of wastewater was treated, and the resultant clean water was used in numerous ways, including vineyard irrigation. The winery got Napa Green-certification, which means they met all the regulatory components of environmental sustainability.
